Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These terms apply when you use saltstrom.com or buy from it. By placing an order you agree to them.

Who we are

SALTSTRÖM makes audio plug-ins and sells them on saltstrom.com. You can reach us through the Contact page.

What we sell

Licences for audio software, delivered electronically. Nothing is shipped. Each product page lists the supported systems and plug-in formats; please check them before you buy. Every plug-in can be downloaded and used in full for seven days before a licence is needed, so you can test it in your own sessions first.

Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars. The total you pay is shown at checkout before you confirm.
  • Payment is by card through WooPayments. Your order is accepted when the payment is confirmed and you receive the order email.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order, for example where fraud is suspected or a price was shown in error. If you have already paid, you get a full refund.

Delivery

Your licence key is sent to the email address on the order right after the purchase, and is also shown in your account under Downloads. The installers are on the Downloads section of the Support page. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder and then write to us.

Your licence

When you buy a plug-in you receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use it, in private or commercial work, on every computer you own. The licence is tied to your email address and a key. The software remains our property.

You may not:

  • share, publish, sell or give away your licence key;
  • resell, rent, lend or redistribute the software;
  • copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly allows this;
  • remove or bypass its licence check.

The music and sound you make with our plug-ins is yours. We may deactivate a licence that has been shared or obtained by fraud.

Refunds

Because every plug-in can be tried in full for seven days before buying, and the licence key is delivered at once, purchases are normally final. If something went wrong, for example you were charged twice, or the plug-in does not work on a supported system and we cannot fix it, write to us through the Contact page within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund you. A refunded licence is deactivated. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Points

Orders made with an account earn points, and points can be used towards later orders, as described on the Points page of your account. Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are taken back if the order that earned them is refunded or cancelled. We may change or end the points programme; points already earned remain usable for a reasonable time after notice.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and your details up to date. You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.

Reviews

Reviews must be your own honest experience and must not be unlawful, abusive or promotional. We may remove reviews that break these rules. By posting a review you allow us to show it on the site.

Names and content

SALTSTRÖM, SALTA EQ56, the software, the site and everything on it belong to us or our licensors. Names of other companies and products mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility or experience; they do not imply endorsement.

Warranty and liability

We build and test our software with care, and we will help if it does not work as described. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, the software and the site are provided as they are, without further warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost work, lost data or lost income, and our total liability for a product is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law

These terms, and any dispute about them or about a purchase, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here on the day of your order applies to that order.
